Calm Beyond the Waves
Another glorious sunrise over Umhlanga Rocks.
I woke up and took a peep outside my window, and it looked like we were going to be treated to another beautiful sunrise.
I decided to head down to my favourite spot in Umhlanga Rocks to take a few photos.
The ocean was in a pleasant mood, and the weather was perfect. Not hot, nor cold.
A slight breeze brought with it the fresh and salty smell of the ocean.
The tide was quite high which meant I could capture a lot of the reflections of the sky in the surf.
Standing there in the sand, with the waves washing up towards me, and the sky turning from blue, to grey, to pink and red, and eventually into gold, a deep sense of calm and tranquility came over me.
Despite the challenges of modern day life, I got the feeling that everything would be OK.
Everything would always be OK, even when they don't seem that way. The ocean always seems to have that effect on me.
