Blush of the Morning Sea

What a glorious sunrise this morning!
I woke up earlier than expected this morning, and whilst I lay in bed deciding whether I should try to sleep for an extra 40 minutes or not, I decided to take a look outside the window instead. I saw the sky was on fire.
Immediately I threw on some clothes and rushed down to the beach in Umhlanga Rocks.
I grabbed my camera bag and tripod out the boot of my car, and with my cell phone in my free hand, I ran down to the beach.
Unfortunately, I had forgotten to tie the draw string of my pants, so I was simultaneously trying to keep my pants up, but with my hands full, this proved to be a challenge. I had no time to stop as I didn't want to lose the light.
There was a lady running behind me also trying to capture a few photos of the sunrise with her phone, and I hope that she didn't get more than what she bargained for. Luckily, I had my good pair of underwear on. The one without the holes...
The potential embarrassment was worth it. The sky was set alight and burning bright. The warm colours flowed down from the sky and reflected in the surf. It was intense and incredible.
Suddenly, from one moment to the next, the calm weather turned around and a strong wind sent the sand stinging into my legs.
I decided to call it, but these are some of the photos that I managed to capture. I hope that you like them.
South Africa always leaves me breathless in her beauty.
Keep looking for the beauty. It's there...
I am Proudly South African.
