Fire in the sky over Umhlanga Rocks this morning.

I got up early this morning to get ready for work, and as per my usual morning ritual, I took a peep outside the window to see what the sky looked like.

The sky was about to be set alight...

I rushed down to Bronze Beach to my usual spot in front of the lifeguard's house.

As I got there the sky was already on fire.

A welcome cool breeze brought with it the salty and thick air from the ocean.

You could feel the warmth of the impending sunrise already; the start of a beautiful and hot day down in Durban.

The fire in the clouds seemed to have set the beach alight as the warm hues spilled out over the wet reflections in the surf. High above in the sky, the moon shone gently through the blaze in the clouds. It was such an incredible and beautiful scene.

I could never ever get used to such breathtaking beauty...

Sunrises like this is what heaven must look like.

South Africa always leaves me breathless in her beauty.
