Fire in the Surf

I went down to a spot near the main beach in Umhlanga Rocks to capture a few quick photos of the sunrise.

Durban can get so hot, so I actually enjoy it when I have to put on a light jacket, and the cool weather is very welcomed.

I went all the way down to the shore line to try and capture the reflections of the sky in the surf.

It must be very funny watching me as I run away from the water as the waves wash onto the shore, and then I run back down to my camera that sits on a tripod in the sand to take a few photos as the water recedes around it.

Similarly, I often see crabs do the same thing as they run backwards and forwards as the waves wash up onto the shore and then pulls back down into the shoreline.

The sky was set on fire, and I'm so grateful that I was there to be able to capture the beauty that would otherwise be only a memory.

South Africa always leaves me breathless in her beauty.
